Stretch!

One of the most common problems I see in my patients is lower back pain. When I examine these patients I often find irritation not only in the lower joints of the lumbar spine, but in the sacroiliac joints.  These are the large joints that connect your sacrum and your pelvis together, and are very important for walking.  The muscle groups that cross these joints can be tight and irritated as well, adding to the problem.  Here is a simple stretch that helps to loosen up some of these muscle groups and can help with the pain:
